LG 49sk8500pla Vs Samsung 49nu8070

I've narrowed my search for my replacement of my Panasonic 42" plasma down to the LG 49sk8500pla and Samsung 49nu8070

Can anyone share any insight as to a view of which is the best overall ?

I've neither had an LG or a Sammy nor an LCD before so I'm feeling a tad apprehensive

Both pictures look great albeit in a shop setup

Viewing is typically normal TV, sky and the odd dvds so no gaming
