Until Toshiba fix this I'm amazed that owners of these sets haven't actually tried removing the power to the set and then powering on again if it resets itself as she states.

Dont know about what channel it uses, but its unavoidable apparently. So next weds we'll go through the whole process again!
Pain in the butt for the time being, but I'm sure Tosh will have a firmware update to 'block' the Panasonic upgrade affected our teles!
I'll keep forum updated as soon as I get the firmware news.

im still convinced the proublem is related to the freeview tuner because unpluging the aeriale seems to cure it. the tv cant pic up a update with no aerial . for me this is not a big proublem as i watch sky but for freeview viewers its a pain.

Even though it's obvious the update comes over the digital aerial... it really never occurred to me just to unplug it. Can just use iPlayer etc in the mean time from the PS3
Thanks bunny for pointing out to me something that should have been blindingly obvious data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7
I'm glad to hear Tosh are working on a fix though.
