I've read a positive review about Audiolab on What Hi fi also, and would be my choice to give it a try, but unfortunately there's no local retailer, so I would have to buy directly from an overseas store.

Maybe I'm making a silly question, but any idea how would it compare to a Marantz PM 8006 (which I could buy from local stores)? Some reviews on marantz seems to tell that it's not a neutral sounding amplifier. I'm still trying to convince me that it's worth it, but I'm afraid it wouldn't be an upgrade from rotel 971.

Marantz PM6006 or a used PM8005

Have you bought anything, CXA60 might be cheaper now when they have released the CXA61 and even the CXA80 might cost as little as the CX61 (more power).

PM6006 is the go to low bud no brian amp, PM8005 have a smooth open sound as the CX60, the last 2 amps are more smooth clean sounding than bass heavy super punchy amps
