decent amp for £250-£400 used

Hi all , looking for recommendations for a decent used amplifier.
I listen mainly to hard rock and blues , I dont mind an older amp and just need a few inputs. Not fussed by lots of features.Want bass and treble.
want a nice open sound , clarity ,tight focused base ( not boomy) and will run through some speakers I am making ( I'm a cabinetmaker) likely with scanspeak drivers , 8-10" bass . I have a marantz 6002 andan looking for an amp that will give me a noticeableimprovement.
Thinking Arcam a85 , roksan Kandy , Nad 372? any helpwelcomed.

You could keep the marantz and add a quad 606. You'd keep the marantz sound signature and have the beef that the current dumping quad offers.

Edit - that's assuming it has pre outs.

A secondhand Rega Brio is at the top of your price range. Brilliant, simple amp. Excellent sound.

Unfortunately the PM6002 does not have Pre-outs so @Hixs option does not seem to be possible.
