I haven't posted a picture but I've realised I was meant to say 2 out of 5 speakers are working. I've plugged in all 5 and can now only get 2. I'll keep at it but having to get the house painted and ready before Fridays funeral and would be nice to have the speakers mounted by then but not if they're not working!

I was referring to the pictures you posted previously.
Out of the 5 speakers which two are working? If its front left and right then it should be a simple change on the amp to select all 5 speakers. You might be running in stereo mode (2.0). It also depends on the source, e.g. a cd player only outputs in stereo as does some tv channels. Give me 5 mins and I'll look for a manual online to see what you need to try.

Try this. Press 'receiver' button the remote which is just above volume buttons. Then try pressing any of the white buttons (labelled music, tv, game and thx, these are all white above the number buttons). These should change how the amp outputs the sound which should allow surround output. If this doesn't work you might need to go into settings to make sure the amp knows what speakers are connected.

Here is link to manual for the amp. Link.
You can do speaker setup automatically using the mic (p27) or manually (p64).

I am sure many on this forum were thinking of you yesterday and I hope everything went as well as can be expected and I also hope you are managing in what I am sure is a difficult time. Just wanted to let you know.

Thank you Ugg10, I am extremely grateful. It went really well and I managed to find his JH Roxannes in time so he's gone off wearing headphones just as he liked it!
I'll up date soon on the speaker situation when I'm ready to get back to it. I think I have to swap my monolith Subwoofers around, which is carrying up and down the stairs and I'm not looking forward to that!

I had a little look around the forum yesterday and answered a few questions I could! This really is a great forum and you should be proud of all your members for being honest and kind with all their comments and help. I'm sure I have some knowledge of something at the back of my head that I can try and share!

Do not, and I repeat, DO NOT attempt to carry a BK Monolith by yourself!
They are absolute beasts and if one fell on you, you could be lying there for days completely helpless!
I am confident that we will get your system working again, if only through a process of elimination and working through it step by step. data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7
And yes, this is a great site, but avoid the Politics Forum like the plague!

Don't worry, I was joking! Dale was pure muscle and 16 st when we first moved in so did all these things himself! If I can help it, I'll keep them as they are but I may need to work out what cable to get!
I've been trying to figure what stuff he has in the house and my mind is blown! My daughter has asked to keep the LCD 2s. great taste at 7!
