My Brio (2017) can be on for 12 hours of continuous use and merely gets warm (could lay my hand flat on it indefinitely if I was so inclined). Sits on a standard hifi rack with plenty of space above and to each side.

Goodness me. I’ve just borrowed a friend’s Brio for the weekend and I’m already blown away with it. It’s blown my Marantz PM6006UK (a brilliant amp) clean away. It digs so deep that you don’t miss a beat or the tiniest detail, yet the soundstage seems so wide and airy with fantastic separation. I can’t see me giving it back......

Good news. He’s agreed to let me keep it at mate’s rates. Can’t stop listening to it //static.avforums.com/styles/avf/smilies/clap.gif

For any owners of the Brio.... does it have an AV Bypass option?
I'm already planning upgrades before i've even got my system setup. I am considering it to run the Key R5's for music playback (I will give my Marantz a chance first!) but if it's going to fit into the system, I need to be able to use it as an AV Bypass for Home Cinema.

Nope no bypass. You need the elicit-r for that I believe.

Cheapest way into AV bypass is buying used. Either a MF m3si or a Arcam A38. Both around 500 used. I think a few older audiolabs have it as well around that sort of price too.

Elicit-R is the only (affordable) model that has the by-pass function. If you have a Brio and wish to use the same speakers to separate music for home cinema then you could use a speaker switcher such as the Beresford 7220 from Home HiFi.

Needs to be half width though!
There are options, fear not.... plus I need to test the actual system first!
