Marantz CD6003 or UD5007 for CDs

Thinking of replacing my cd6003 with ud5007,will the ud5007 be on par with the 6003 for cd playback?

The 5007 can play SACD. SACD players as a rule are better with redbooks, they tend to get more detail out of them. Marantz SACD players are held in high regard.
