Rotel A14 Integrated Amplifier
The DAC connections are 2xOptical, 2xCoaxial, 1xUSB-PC. It also has a Network Connection but that is mostly for software updates, but I have heard rumors that you can get it working for Streaming using 3rd Party Software. Though I haven't been able to verify that.
That seems to cover all the ground you need covered - decent power at 80w/ch, and a very high end 32 bit DAC.
Steve/bluewizard I'm using the Marantz PM6006UKE with the Oberon 5s, and they sound superb.Even when playing very loud, they sound clean and effortless.
Note that although the Oberon 5s are marketed as 6 ohm speakers, they are actually closer to 4 ohms. The 6 ohms is the impedance averaged over the whole frequency band, but the midband is 4 ohms. They use two nominally 8 ohm woofers in parallel. Will you recommend the Oberon 5 for EDM music like Trance and House music or are they too natural sounding for that? I have Marantz PM6004 amp. Following You'll likely need a sub if you want a decent punch to the bass notes. What you think about getting something from these amps for my Oberon 5
I am still trying to decide what would be the best upgrade (for now I have nad325):
-Brio
-Elex-R
-Exposure xm5 or 2010S2D
-Creek 50A
-Nait 5si
Thank you in advance! Out of the Regas the Elex-R is the best with more headroom and a better power delivery. I prefer the bass control of the Regas over the Naim Nait 5si. I can't comment on the others as I have not heard them. I own a Rega Elicit-R. Additionally, I heard Cambridge Audio CXA61 yesterday... not decided yet Always go for the amp that puts the biggest smile on your face. Sometimes it really is as simple as that.
