I've just tested my PM6006 and definitely have the buzzing - has anyone had any luck with repairs?

I have the UK version of the CD 6006 and the PM 6006. I tested the digital inputs when auditioning to test the DAC. There was no audible hum or buzz at all. My understanding of the issue is that it was something that affected a few earlier models. I’m not saying it wasn’t a real problem but it only takes a few dissatisfied customers to post a video or a blog for it to be blown out of proportion. There are hundreds of thousands of satisfied customers - me included. Marantz after sales is outstanding and they would replace any item you are not satisfied with.

P.S. I’ve just picked up my Monitor Audio Bronze 5s and, to my ears, Marantz and Monitor Audio sound fantastic together.

Hmmm, just had my PM6006 back from a 'repair' for this issue. DAC has been replaced but the buzzing is still there. Not too impressed!

Hello, with some guidance I have resolved the issue!
I took delivery today 26th November 2019. Immediately I noticed the hum on all sources which was much, much louder in the Phono input.
Nathan from the helpdesk of Sevenoaks Audio Visual helped me to sort it out. He told me that this is to do with the grounding of the amp. So I took a piece of wire and connected it to the grounding post of my Rega turntable to a casement screw on my Marantz NA6005 network player. Presto, the hum on the speakers on the phono input and all other inputs was resolved!
Apparently a grounding issue originating from the phono input can effect the whole system. Not sure how one would resolve this without the phono grounding post though...?
I hope this helps....
