Charging mobiles in France

Hi, anyone with any experience with charging phones/tablets in France?
The reason I ask is a colleague has a house in France and said his devices take forever to charge and when they do charge it rarely last for long yet here it's fine. I thought it might have to do with the voltage but not sure , anyone with any insights

Probably just a problem with your colleague or his devices.
Modern chargers are designed to work over a wide range of AC voltages and France will be no different than any other EU country including the UK.

There's not enough information here, is your colleague using the same plug adapter with interchangeable uk / Eu plugs and is it the same cable being used as in the U.K. Information like this can often lead to a self diagnosis

Yes to both. It happens on 2 different phones.
