How To Fix Samsung Galaxy S8 Bluetooth Issues | Technobezz Yes I am going into set up and have tried what the link suggests but the link does explain better than my trial and error so I will follow the instructions tomorrow thanks Hope it gets you there. Let us know how you get on. On reflection I am not at all sure the phone is the problem because the phone finds the Alpine the Alpine does not find the phone Okay that's good to know. So the Alpine found your old S4. Have you deleted the S4 from the Alpine? For Alpine CD Headunit - CDE-W235BT
1. Press and hold the phone/setup button for three seconds to enter “Setup”
2. Using your volume control, select “Paired Dev” and press “Enter”
3. Using your volume control scroll through the list of paired devices
4. Select a paired device to be deleted by pressing “Enter” then use your volume control to select “Clear” and press “Enter. (a cleared message will appear)
5. Repeat steps 4 & 5 to delete multiple devices.
6. Press and hold the phone/setup button for three seconds to exit “Setup” Yes that is what I am doing the Alpine comes up with no unit The only thing I can suggest now is a firmware update
