Xiaomi’s Redmi K20 Pro - The new Flagship killer?
Been waiting on the reveal on this phone for a while now and now the specs and build is confirmed this is likely going to be my next phone.Top specs at a great price
The Redmi K20 Pro with Snapdragon 855 launched in China
Xiaomi's Redmi K20 Pro is the most affordable phone with the Snapdragon 855
There is a rumour that this may actually come to the rest of the market as the Pocophone F2.
Got a OnePlus 3 atm which is still going strong, just design is a bit old lol. Heard rumours about this a while back but no one knew what build from (glass or plastic) and more importantly if had NFC or not... It Glass/Metal Frame & has NFC data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7
Budget phones from Oppo (Realme) Huawei (Honor) Xiaomi (Redmi/Poco) have closed the gap to "flagship" phones so much they are well worth considering if you are not a name snob.
Christ, hardly anyone knew who OnePlus were when I got the OnePlus 3 but it was probably the best phone (or one of) on the market at the time, especially pound for buck and it's still super fast considering. I've been reading up on the K20 Pro over the last few days too, this could well be my next phone to. I very much like the Zenfone 6, but it doesn't have wireless charging, and that's a must for me.
My current phone is an Elephone P9000, been a great phone, but getting a little old now, had a few issues with the Wi-Fi but clearing the settings seems to have fixed that. Seems the K20 Pro doesn't have wireless charging as previously thought data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7 looks like I'll be saving some money for a while longer. No SD card either, although with so much storage it's not such an issue.
Xiaomi launches affordable Redmi K20 Pro with Snapdragon 855 It's got expandable storage data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7 wireless charging is unlikely, they have not mentioned it but some sites have wireless charging listed though.
Main thing for me & the Mrs is NFC and it's got that.
The price for this is mental considering what u get...
Edit - turns out this doesn't appear to have expandable storage like I thought.. Still 128gb version is twice the capacity of my OnePlus.. I'll probably just get the top version with 256gb and 8gb ram anyway. Finally released in the UK (if u want the convenience of a proper UK plug and 2 year Warranty) as the Mi9t pro direct from Xiaomi store or Amazon
Going to order 2 shortly.. one back for me and a blue one for the Mrs.
