Another good browser is Brave Browser, not quite as customizable as FF but would suit alot of peoples needs. It's based on open source Chromium not to be confused with Chrome

I consider it legitimately on topic to ask what options for privacy exist on android and iOS versus purchasing a Linux phone, although I suppose more in-depth discussion will have to go in a separate thread data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

Here are a couple of links for those whom would consider alternatives:

Librem 5

Pine (under dev)

Was looking at the Librem link... It all sounds a bit 'tinfoil hat' to me!The phone design is awful, so this is marketed at those who want privacy and who don't care how it looks?

I can imagine this would be a huge hit amongst underworld figures and drug dealers data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

Hahaha they’ll be better off just getting an iPhone by design. Even their £2K BBs can be deencrypted.

Should have, but, all you did is mumbled nothing, irrelevant to the topic.
I don't care about "your" intentions.
Want to- ask, don't derail the topic with your delusional no ideas, as far you are proven to be thoughtless ego hungry prebusent teen.

KYS!

@Steven
Prick, how do I delete account?

Steven Publish time 27-11-2019 22:20:31

I appreciate the complement about my youthful complexion. Just log off rather then seek attention. The public can make up their own mind about whether or not this reaction is proportionate to being asked not to promote a piracy site with no posting sanction imposeddata:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

Err, whats going on, have I missed something with the name calling?

Its a little condescending to say they will only be used by 'drug dealers'. Perhaps for those whom are uneducated might think that. These phones are for informed people to take control as far as possible, of their privacy and a choice on not signing up to Google and so forth to sell on your private details to third party advertising companies whom then sell your details to whomever they like. Google has over 200 'first line' companies to whom they sell your (and your family!) details\habits\what you have shopped for\age\Dob etc on to. Its a pyramid effect from then on. Everyone has choice, some are happy with that, others are not.

Tinfoil, I don't think so, its for the smart or people who object to their private details being sold on (without consent!) and ironically, possibly ending up on the dark web in databases that can be sold on to scammers\online fraudsters and so forth. At least having a alternative security biased phone would be trying to address that and you are not signing up to sell yourself online!

At the end of the day, freedom of choice, we all know whom the two smart phone OS'es are, this thread only gives a alternative. I don't care about specs, must have latest phones and so forth and many people probably don't either.
