Just a heads up for anybody that has not got this game yet but was thinking about it, you can try it for free this weekend starting Thursday. The Division 2 – Details on Free Episodes Revealed, Free Weekend June 13-16 – E3 2019
Won't be doing this myself but thought other folk may be interested. I keep thinking on pulling the trigger on this and a free weekend is perfect. Can't seem to find it cheaper than £32 at the moment. Not sure I'll get to play tonight but downloading it now. This will make my mind up or not!data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7 Free weekend !! , i think i'll keep off it for the rest of week , can see a lot off crashes coming or disconnections!!
however just been on for about 2 hours and it play just fine ...
@drinkturpsit's a bloody good game ( if you liked the 1st one , you will like this one )
iv put about 80hours in so far ( which is good for me as i get bored quickly ) im on WT5 just finishing up the bounties and a few invaded missions and that's about it for me , but iv played it solo all the way through , iv had hard missions and could of done with a bit help at times , but as i say iv played solo and manage toplay all the way throughand really enjoyed it ... I'm having a play now. It's defaulted to Ultra which I am getting 30fps at 1080p. May need to turn some bling off. It's pretty decent. Some things I'm a little confused on... is there secret stuff/exploring if I avoid the main story? Is exploring worth it? From what i can remember , if you want to "try" the game out and see if it's worth buying , but don't want to get to involved in the story ,
i guess you could start the story ( which you have too) - which in turn starts the open up the map ,then work your way through the " control points" which then gives you "intel credit" which you use to go and hunt for the"bounties" , these are high level targets which- when beaten gives you decent loot drops .
there are others item you can hunt for like "dye's" for your gear ( just colours for your guns and clothes ) , which i never even done ..
then you have got "hidden hotels" i guess you could go and look for them
The Division 2: Hidden (Hydden) Hotel Locations
not sure how many of them you can find as their are all over the map , seen as your just starting out ,
i'm not sure if the whole of themap is open from the start or you need to spend time on the story which then opens the restof the map up .. Thanks for the advice. I just bought it. Played about 4-5 hours in total now and I'm having a blast with this. Combat is really good and stumbling upon hidden stashes and events is pretty cool. It looks soooo pretty too!
I'm only level 3 as I'm finding myself wandering around the city looking at things. As per the first game the end game is where this is let down again. Getting there is good but then the terrible RNG kicks in and you're basically just stuck doing the same stuff over and over in hope that you get the good item you need to help gear yourself enough to do the raid. I read somewhere the odds of getting that perfect item are outrageous (even just getting the perk combo you're after is crazy).
I've uninstalled it and will come back to it when they sort that out.
