HDMI to TV, DP to Monitor
Hi,I'm very new to PC gaming and am unsure about something.
I want the option to plug my PC into my 4K tv via HDMI for casual gameplay on the couch, whilst also connecting my PC to the the monitor via DP for more competitive play at the desk.
Does this mean that if they're both connected at the same time to my 2080 Ti, it will try to support both thus lowering my FPS, and should disconnect one to use the other. Or will they only affect the graphics card if the TV/monitor is actually on at the time?
MTIA. You will open display settings or nvidia control panel and set which one of the two you want to use. Best identify them (by pressing the identify button) and then select display 1/display 2 only depending on which one you want to use
