I've got 6000 points, plus another 3000 or so I haven't entered yet (Wii, DS Lite, Games etc.). Nothing on the european site interests me in the slightest. I'm waiting until you can use your stars for VC games on the wii if that ever happens.

Looking at the stuff available on the Japanese site makes a mockery of ours.

According to the Nintendo newsletter you will indeed be able to convert your stars to wii points soon
