Brand new 2ds not loading cartridges

Please can anybody help?
Bought a 2ds for my artistic son in preparation for Christmas.
Bought from amazon. UK version.
Trying UK cartridges and they are not recognised.
Am i missing something?

As long as you are using real carts, then not much you can do I reckon. Maybe just try inserting and removing a few times to kind of "wipe" the connector pins. Otherwise, best to get it swapped. Amazon are usually pretty good about that kind of thing, and at least it's not too late for Christmas.

I went on to the internet settings and performed a system update. Now playing all cartridges fine.
