I need to start playing this again. Been distracted by Pheonix Wright, Ni No Kuni, Stick it to the Man and Tomodachi Life.
Only problem with this game so far is brave. There should be a quick "last combo" option so it is faster
Ok, so after playing this for a couple weeks I have come to a conclusion.
The thing that sets it apart and makes it unique is also its downfall.Brave/Default.Unless the game really comes into its own when played on Hard?As it stands now there is little incentive to use Default at all as most interactions you can dust them off if you go in the negative by using Brave from the off on all four characters.That way you get more exp or gold and job points (which are the most precious points).So very few battles ever last longer than one turn.
Also, some of the job classes I have found (so far) to be pretty useless.Like the Time Mage and the Elemental whatever it's called.
Overall I'd give the game a 7/10 but I will say I'm glad I played/am playing it.But I need a break.The battles get a bit monotonous.
Bosses get a lot harder, so you'll need to use Default a hell of a lot more from the halfway point. Depends on how balanced your team is, but the special moves you get from Defaulting for the full four (or is it five?) turns will be essential.
What special moves? The moves vary depending on the weapon used
Yup, it gets much harder later on and you will need to use default and brave on the boss fights as they can also do default and brave too and can often one shot you.
I have come across a decent fight so far (the time mage dude that stopped my peeps for a bit) and then one of the Netfriend mobs that were sent at lvl 25... it one shotted my dudes when I was level 22, lol.
Has anyone completed this or got to chapter 6?
I think I'm on Chapter 3... just got the Wind blowing again when I stopped playing it (to try out one of the other 20 games I had bought when I got the 3ds again).
Currently playing Etrian Oddysey Untold: Millinium Girl... I think I'm about halfway done with that and I'm not sure what I'm going to play next but I'd like to give this one a look in again soon as I enjoyed it a lot.The acting was tremendous.
