Animal Crossing - New Leaf
No thread already for this? This is one of those games i dont really 'get' but am intrigued by.
Suppose to be a bit of a phenomenon isn't it?
Prices seam pretty cheap £30, but i guess this is one of those games you want as download and have it with you all the time.
Anyone sum it up, i told my daughter it knows when your birthday is and she was sold on that point alone! data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

An exciting new life awaits you in Animal Crossing: New Leaf
Might want to have a butchers, and let her see it, she'll be sold on it, I bet.(you too, as well no doubt.)

My wife, son and daughter all played it on their DS's, got me hooked too.
It's all in real time, too..quite different from other titles out there, and it is nice to just chill out and play it for a bit, checking in every day. Im a bugger for ios games where you have to leave things for a few hours and go back to harvest etc., current addiction is Hay Day, (farming thing) so if its anything like that, yes ill be hooked. I must confess this is a genre of game I just don't get, but I'm interested in trying.
On the face of it it looks like all the awful grind quests from an MMOs with none of the fun.
But having read the pocketgamer diaries my interest is peaked:
The Animal Crossing: New Leaf Diaries - Day 7 | 3DS | Pocket Gamer
With Fire-Emblem ordered and Luigi's Mansion a certain buy, I may as well go the whole hog and take advantage of the so-many games offer, so might make this my digital bonus game. I adore Animal Crossing, and was one of the reasons I've just got another 3DS!
I got hooked on the GC version, then DS, then Wii and It will happen all over again with "New Leaf".
Initially, the game seems pointless, shallow & boring. BUT stick with it, and be prepared to loose yourself in it data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7 I know the games not out yet, but does anyone know if you can have 2 games on the go on it?
I share a 3ds with my daughter and would like to have our own separate games. From what I remember, none of the previous versions allowed this.
You would have one town & each player was a different resident in that town.
So you would still have your own goals, such as expanding & paying off your own house etc. But obviously things like fruit are shared!
So if you start the day by harvesting all your fruit trees for bells, then there would be none left for your daughter data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7 //static.avforums.com/styles/avf/smilies/clap.gif//static.avforums.com/styles/avf/smilies/clap.gif
Sounds even better tbh, would we each have our own house or share it, like the idea of us both in the same town though. i guess if the friut is hared the house will be, off to find out data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7 In the GameCube and Wii games you had your own house, I think that's the case in New Leaf too!
