Advice for a novice wanting console for kids
Hi there - I'm looking to buy a games console for my children for Christmas so they can do Just Dance. We did it on an Xbox at a friend's house and it was great, but I'm reluctant to fork out for a new Xbox console when there are cheaper platforms that also do Just Dance. I think Xbox works best because it has a camera whereas with a Wii you have to hold the handsets and wiggle them around, but I could well be wrong! We'll probably only ever buy one or two more games. Could anyone advise on whether it's worth paying extra for an Xbox, and if I could get away with buying the last model? Very grateful for any tips! Thank you. Buy a cheap sh*t one off eBay then Thanks, Swiftpete - any advice on a sh*t what though? Wii, Xbox 360, Xbox one...? get a wii or wii u.....xbox versions are fine but u need an xbox 360 , kinect and lots of room.....wii is much cheaper and has loads of dance type games ( stacks of just dance's, michael jackson experience, dance on broadway and others, all very cheap on wii) , all u need is a few wiimotes for the kids.... Xbox should keep you sweet with the kids once the dance novelty wears thin. Wii will no doubt have a greater selection of motion based games, though an Xbox 360 with Kinect will sort you out with a limited selection of motion games, though it has the benefit of a large library of standard-controller games. This should result in having something to keep them occupied for a long while. Thanks very much davidcharles and Waynej - really appreciate your advice. I will obviously need to give it some proper thought!
