Question Split HDMI Output for Video and Audio
Hello,I've a Samsung 4K TV, and a older Sony AV receiver which does not passthru 4K or 3D etc.
How could I split the HDMI output allowing me to connect an XBox One S to both the TV and the AV receiver via HDMI?
The reason I'd like to do this is to ensure that the Blu-ray Audio format that my Sony AV receiver can support are handled directly by the AV Receiver. As I understand these would not pass-thru the Samsung TV - as it's only interested in 5.1 if that. With my existing Blu-Ray player it was necessary to get one that had dual-HDMI output to support this - although this was also due to the lack of 3D passthru on the Sony.
Is it as simple as using an HDMI Splitter (1 In, 2 Out) unit like I've linked below:

Thank you
Iain Bump, I would like to know the answer to this to!
