Shouldn't this thread be in the Xbox One section. There don't seem to be threads for other 4k players in the 4k UHD Blu-rays section?

@iNspectorgadJet, as requested, thread now moved into the XB1 forum.

What is the fixed versions, version number?

Haven’t had an update since I downloaded the Blu Ray app on Tuesday.

It's a system update, not an update to the blu-ray app itself.

Glad i didn't purchase an X box X ..... just found out that there will be no support for the X or S concerning Dolby Vision ... Feeling a little peeved off

Grumpyrocker Publish time 27-11-2019 02:26:13

In what sense "found out", are you privy to Microsoft corporate planning?

ChrisKz Publish time 27-11-2019 02:26:14

If you don't ask , you don't get the answer ... I actually spoke to a microsoft technician . I was looking for a 4k player with DV and before I started looking . I thought why not ask MS as they are usualy good with updates and firmware , so asked for the S and X.. Answer was "We have no plans to support DV over these devices " ..

But it will support HDR10which is open source. DV is just an expensive licence that will fade away.

ChrisKz Publish time 27-11-2019 02:26:17

NO idea Recall , i didn't ask about HDR10 ..... I believe there are 3 major contributors supporting DV at the moment . Best to have ( in my mind) the options to display all formats .We will always be playing catch up
