Just checked and my PS4 Pro does it...

Yep. Sony introduced it in the first revision of the PS3 way back when.

No point in that new one, just keep up voting the existing one, it’s still very active:

Add HDMI-CEC Support to Xbox One

And ignored by Microsoft

And so will your one I’m afraid. I just don’t believe they will add it...it’s been asked for for years and still nothing.

Save your energy, and switch to a Playstation. It's what I did. Still keep the xbox around for when I want to play Forza.

Xbox user voice is a waste of time these days, I don't think anyone at MS even pays attention to it as it has been over run with useless entries like people asking for unban's and out of date items.

One of the few ways I've seen to get attention from MS is that enough people on twitter prod one of the MS bosses like Mike Ybarra (who is in charge of hardware/platform) and then action is taken.

I have a suspicion there is no dedicated AV team inside the Xbox group, rather AV related stuff rotates from one engineering team to another which is why Xbox has such a scattered/inconsistent approach to AV issues. The X launched with broken BD HDR and only when AV reviewers tore into it and on twitter did Mike Ybrarra admit it shouldn't have launched in that state, then a fix was released.

As for HDMI-CEC that requires a lot of AV testing to work, as AV devices makers are not always consistent in their approach.

The ideal solution I think would be to implement libCEC an open source HDMI-CEC system used & developed by the Pulse Eight guys who sell a PC CEC adapter. MS is much more open source friendly these days and if they are not going to commit resources to doing it themselves then using an open source tool is the way to go, proven to work with Windows already.
