My 1x died a couple of weeks ago. Launch console, about 19 months old? In the end, the light power came on but it wasn't working correctly. If I pressed the power button it wouldn't switch off. Also holding it down for a hard reset would just switch the light off. The fan did kick in, it was loud and constant, and there was a lot of hot air being blown out the back. My console was dead, I don't know why it was generating so much heat.

So the real problem was that all my ports on the console were dead. No tv picture, no ethernet connection (always wired), and none of my usb ports were working. I changed over my cables and tried my 1x on my tv upstairs but no luck. Checked my router via the pc and there was no connection and no light on controller when wired up to console.

Luckily I had a 2 year guarantee with john lewis, uk. Got a new console, controller, pubg and a new 2 year warranty. So not bad but I was also fuming over the console build quality yet again.

It could have been worse and it was my tv that had died, my lg c6.
