Question Should I throw my Xbox360 away?

Hello,

Suddenly my Xbox won't output any video/audio signal anymore. Not through HDMI, nor through AV (composite). I tried everything, cables, other screens, bypassing the receiver. No signal goes out whilst the device lits up and the fan turns.
I phoned 2 local specialized repair shops, they say it's not worth repairing. The cost will be higher than finding another 2nd hand on the market.
So what do you think?
Is there any last resort thing I can do? Anything?

Thanks

How many game saves do you have on the HDD?

you could look at some youtube videos where they fix them up , it might show you the most common areas. the hassle may not be worth it though
have you had it from new? how long for?

How much is a Microsoft repair, and do they still offer them?
I'd hate to have my 360 die.
I don't like backwards compatibility on Xbox One 100% as I've found that, as it's only emulating the 360, there are bugs that weren't present on 360, like sound drop-outs or cut offs.
It happened once in Gears of War, some dialog cut off when it shouldn't just because I took a couple of steps forward.
And a similar thing happened in another game, but I can't remember which.

I'm hoping Scarlet doesn't emulate the 360, but rather has something built into its hardware to run Xbox360 games.
