PS4 Pro not worth it if I don't have a 4K TV?
After seeing all the PS4 exclusives announced at Playstation Experience 2016 I decided to get a PS4 myself. Never have owned a console before. Been playing on a PC for years. But my PC is very old and for me upgrading to a better PC is more expensive than buying a console. So here comes my question: should I get a PS4 Pro even though I only have a Full HD TV or buy a regular PS4 instead?
I read that 4K TV is not required for PS4 Pro! Hope I didn't read wrong. Thanks!
The post I read: PS4 Pro Benefits for 1080p TV Owners (general and game-specific) If you don't already have a ps4 then I can't see any reason not to get the pro unless you really can't afford the extra.
Pretty sure the pro is £100 more than a 500gb slim but only £40 more than a 1tb slim To be honest if this is your first PS4 then you might as well get a Pro if you can afford the extra, even if you don't have a 4K TV. The extra processing power also brings advantages to 1080p games, most notably frame rates, and if and when you ever buy a 4K TV you're good to go. I would buy the Pro There's enough benefits to make it worthwhile getting a Pro for the relatively small price difference. If you do get a 4k tv at some point you're already set. Some games have improvements for 1080p, which I imagine will be more common with new releases, whether it be making a game 1080p when it would have only been 720p, improvements in terms of frame rates, and also improved anti-aliasing and other graphical features (lighting etc.). Another good reason to go for the Pro:
Report: PS4 Pro 'boost mode' runs unpatched PS4 games more smoothly Go for the Pro, read the news about the boost mode and a few did a review look like great for me Definitely get the Pro, just for the sake of future proofing.
