SG-22 :For me also it does not appear and now am using Tversity or simplecenter and both are recognised by PS3. Please check windows firewall for ports.

A final note on streaming is that on wireless connections there can be problems with detection of media servers and also the speed of file transfer. It certainly will stutter if you decide to listen to music and look at photos at the same time. Unfortunately, wiring the connection is the best remedy. Or you may want to simply transfer the files over, however this will obviously take up space on the PS3.

Great guide! A lot of effort that is much appreciated. Wouldn't have had a clue and now streaming effortlessly whilst wired. If the laptop is wireless however, even with the PS3 wired, I manage maybe 5 -8 minutes before "PS3 has been diconnected from the media server" I then either have to wait or scan for server before it starts again. Is this level of interruption normal or is it another symptom of my useless wireless internet connection on my laptop?

Slow as hell even when saying 54mps and that's when it's not "acquiring network address......."

It shouldn't be normal, it would definately sound like your wireless connection from your laptop is flakey. What make of laptop is it?

At a guess, some things to look out for is that some power management utilities can turn off wireless if the battery is low.

On the signal, check the strength, it will always say the maximum connection speed, but maybe the strength is low?

Can anybody help me please !

Connected my MAc wirelessly to the PS3 all fine.
Installed Twonky Media Server excellent.
Went on my MAc and tried to arrange my Pics into different folders etc and generally tidy it up.
Did this after my pics had been streamed to the PS3 .
Problem is I've deleted them on the Mac somehow and emptied the rubbish bin.
Now I have them on the Playstation but not on the MAc.
Can I at least put them on the PS3 HDD before switching off the media server etc and losing everything ?
Also why are they still showing on the PS3 if they've been deleted on the MAc ?
Did it just copy them ?

Cheers got hundreds of pics of the family I haven't backed up yet and desperate.data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7
