Because that's only 1080p and requires you to have a box over your eyes with a load of cables traipsing from your console to the headset... I would much rather have games in native 4k and hopefully HDR too....

Must be me but while I can see a subtle difference when I watch 4K and HDR but I really fail to see how it's going to make much difference in games when so many are sold broken or less than 1080p

Hopefully I'm posting in the right place. As they've just announced all ps4s will be upgraded to Hdr, what does the new PS4 pro offer over the existing ps4? I've not been able to watch the live show so unsure so far. Assuming the new one is better, what does hdr add to current ps4s?
Thanks

No 4K Blu-ray drive has apparently been confirmed by Stuff magazine, so that's my vision of a £350 4K Blu-ray player out of the window....

My jaw had dropped at the image of the monstrous triple decker design that I missed the fact it doesn't have a UHD Blurry drive, What have Sony done, completely gobsmacked!

I think they may have shot themselves in the foot if it is not going to play 4k Blu rays, that was one of the great features of the PS3 at the time that you could play blu rays and why I and a few of my mates went down the PS3 route rather than xbox route.
