Help with choosing broadband for online gaming?

I’ve moved house and can only get really slow broadband in new location... so slow Netflix looks bad and lags when browsing etc...

It’s 1 to 2mb speed... previously I had 60mb and even higher at my other houses...

My 4g phone gets 5 to 12mb downloads so thinking of getting a mifi box with external 4g antennas to get closer to 20 mb downloads...

Problem is our new PS4 has 20 to 50gb downloads for each game... this would kill the monthly 4g data allowance...

So I get the 1 to 2mb dsl to download my game upgrades or purchases and will that be fast enough for gaming online or will I have to use 4g modem for gaming?

I suppose another solution is take PS4 to friends house to download upgrades/purchased and use 4g mifi for online gaming at home?

I’ve never seen broadband this crappy in all my travels around the world...

Another solution would be to buy phone sim with unlimited data (for phone as no unlimited data sim is available) and put it in a mifi. But not sure if this is allowed?

1 to 2 is fine for online gaming.

Ah, cool thanks for that...

Looks like I can go for the slow Dsl then...

Yeah, you don’t need super fast speeds for online gaming, what is most important is a very good ping. So a quality provider would be beneficial.
