4k gaming tv for Ps4 pro

Hi,

I am looking for a 4k HDR tv for playing multiplayer games on my Pro console, max size 49 col since in-built space is limited.
Low input lag is very important since I prefer first person shooter/tps games.
I use my tv in 3/4 of time for gaming and max 1/4 watching movies, sports.
In this segment the Sony xe9005 was recommended as an overall good choice (10 bit, 100 hz VA panel, nice quality of picture etc) however its input lag (~33 ms) is quite high and not available in my country due to the arrival of 2018 version (xf9005). Its input lag is even worse (~41 ms).

I checked e.g. the Samsung NU8000 series with extremely good IL value however i am not really satisfied with test results. Panel is 60 hz only...

So is there any tv you use and/or would recommend for me?

Hi mate

I may be missing something here but why is 100hz (or 120hz) important? Unless its a TV which supports Freesync or Variable Refresh rate like the 55 inch nu8000.

To get the benefits of the extra HZ you would need to use the motion features,BFI etc... I would expect these to be turned off when gaming due to the lag it would introduce?

there is a large thread on the xbox forums relating to the one x but the same should apply to the pro

4K tv for Xbox X

cheers

I've got the Sony 65xf9005 and it's brilliant for gamingI've started started playing on the pro againI'm playing uncharted 4 and fifa 18 and I'm not getting any perceptible game lag. The f9005 is reported to be better at 4k than 1080p re lag. Then again I've been gaming for many years and never encountered any gaming lag
We are a few talking milliseconds here. Humans are totally incapable of discerning That level.
Regarding refresh rates. The absolute maximum refresh rate humans can see is 110hzAnything above that it totally invisible and always will be. The difference between 60hz Nd and 100hz is also virtually imperceptible to humansAnd as as Already has been said anything above 60hz is incidental for hdmi gaming as that is the limit of hdmi for 4k.
Uncharted 4 looks truly marvellous on my 65xf9005 for a console. And it's a brilliant game too
