That's correct, you only need one account with a subscription for all other accounts of the same console to go online.
Is it easy enough to cancel if I use the free 30 days from Sony on facebook?
I have to sign up a card to the account and when the month is over I will get charged for a PS 3 month subscription I believe.
Or is it just not worth it and better getting a year sub?
My only reason for having the 30 days is to see if I actually get any use from ps plus and also get Drive Club on PS4launch if that will work with a trial.
