I watch ACG for reviews. He does shortish, 10 minute videos on the latest games and categorises them by Buy, Wait for Sale, Rent, Never Touch. I find his opinions really good and gives in-depth reviews without giving much of the game away

I’ve had to branch out and find some new channels after exhausting every possible vid from my subscribe list. Thanks for the Kim Justice nod, there are some terrific retrospectives on the c64 games of my yoof. Sly Spy! What a game!
If like me you enjoy retrospectives, serious critiques, or behind the scenes stuff I can recommend any of the following:
Did you know gaming - short trivia vids covering nearly every major game or console. Most of it I knew already, but there have been some interesting nuggets I never knew or just forgot about.
Eggbusters - one guy hunting gaming easter eggs. His early stuff is really good, but he does lose his infectious enthusiastic style after a while.
A B Start Son of a glitch - as above, this guy finds and highlights glitches in games. However he covers loads from a single game in each vid instead of focussing on two glitches per game/video. His mock american accent is a bit annoying but the content is actually pretty good.
Boundary Break - one I found fairly recently, they use some coding magic to allow them to move the in game cameras and explore stuff off screen or just show off whole levels from a far viewpoint. It’s much more interesting than i’ve made it sound and the main presenter is really engaging.
Geek Critique - probably my favourite game critic, although I don’t often share his opinion his views are really well articulated and the videos are well put together. He has only tackled the Sonic, Metroid and DKC series’ so far but they’re very watchable even if you’re not a fan of those games.
Gaming Historian - short but sweet retrospectives on a particular game, console or moment from gaming history. A little more fleshed out than DYKG and well researched.
Unseen 64 - great videos on a bunch of games that never saw the light of day. Very well researched with a lot of info straight from the developers themselves. Beta64 does much the same thing but focuses on pre-release info.
KingK - I’ve only just found this guy but have really enjoyed his Zelda retrospectives. They are quite long but he goes into great depth on each game and I really appreciated certain aspects of those games that I’d never considered before.

i dont watch reviews as i get a game if im interested in it, not because someone gave it a big number. i also dont watch playthroughs as they can ruin a game you might actually end up playing. i just tend to watch stuff that chats about games.

I’m starting to do more gaming stuff on mine
If anyone wants to help out, get involved, give some advice: I’m quite new at the gaming side of YouTube: Hong Kong Tech
Thanks for those links above. I’ve subscribed to a few of them.
If it’s pure gaming you’re After I think a lot of those creators have moved to twitch, too, so that’s worth a look.

Are they long videos? If so, this has been a round for some time, maybe more youtubers are enabling them..
