I'd rather stab red hot pins through my eye balls than ever watch a video from that hugely unpleasant individual.

I'm more wary about the lootboxes now than I've been before. Now I'll check to see if they impact the gameplay and progression before I even consider a purchase. For example if I pay for the base game and then I pay for the expansion as well then I should be able to earn everything the game has to offer, if they still expect me to spend more cash then I'm not cool with that.
Not that I buy any full priced games anyway, most I ever spend on a game is £30 and that's rare, if it's something new that I don't want to wait for a price drop then I'll gameshare it.
Before all this loot crate nonsense I was looking forward to Anthem but now I'll have to carefully look at the micro transaction system before I can even consider buying it.

This is sadly the way consumers need to think now and should creep into media reviews. Which on a positive note, will push game publishers toward better systems..

The trouble with AAA games and the reason they cost so much to make is that the teams are bloated in an effort to meet insane deadlines.
High staff numbers=higher cost.
Then the development overruns.
High staff numbers extra development time=higher cost.
It’s even worse when a B team is working on an A teams game(Mass Effect: Andromeda).
This is where loot boxes/MTXs are added.
There needs to be more effort on the development and publisher side to keep the cost down.

Or some game companies will go under, those that are left get higher sales, their profits go up. Same as in any other industry.
