I run a PS4 pro and a 4k tv and have owned / played all PlayStation models since launch. Never owned an Xbox.
My son 9 is complaining all his friends are on Xbox and only 3 have PlayStation.
Can you explain the online side of Xbox to me and costs benefits and which Xbox to buy thanks in advance. Indeed, that's exactly why my ps4 got flogged for XboxS, to keep up with what the son is up to, besides there is monolithic PC and the aesthetics suit..
The Microsoft account management is great, get full reports of what's been played and sites seen, and full control of screen time, who needs corporal punishment when screen time is so easily managed. Xbox live is around £30.00 for the year, with monthly games thrown in. As i have no vested interest, which xbox1? if you have 4k screens go for the Xbox1 X. Thanks chap this clearly not a busy section of the forum. ThinkingXbox1x the new powerful one with 4K Blu-ray player. So Xbox live similar to PS plus online play friends and free monthly games If you've got a 4K TV and the budget, get the X. If you're looking to save a few quid, the S is a very nice little console and still gives you the ability to play 4K media content and discs, and game in HDR.
Yeah, Xbox Live and PS Plus are basically the same thing. Yes concur with dannius, although if you are after exclusive gaming then PS4. But as you say it's social aspect for your son so Xbox1s in my opinion! pro

PS4 exclusive library is way too good to give up IMO. If you don't like bloodborne, uncharted, the last of us, persona, jrpgs.. then switch to an xbox one x Stuck with PlayStation pro. He now has seven friends from school and clubs to play with after making a conscious effort to seek out Sony users.
So funny listening to him shouting and having fun playing with friends. I kind of miss the random communication you used to get in game lobbies when it was free for all. Much annoyance but some good times as well.
