Why? I got all I need. I bought Commodore 64 Forever, Amiga Forever, a loaded Retropie SDcard with 4,500games/12 consoles and a digital download loaded with 100,000games/40 consoles.
So I spent a little money but I didn't have to put it together or program em. They're all ready to go. Lots of emulation sites stopped providing roms for downloads because of lawsuits from Nintendo.

OK so he's trying to save anyone else money who might read this thread? It's a discussion forum. Don't take it personally data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

Choice is one thing but 100,000 games is another data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7
I have probably 100-125 on my Picade and that is more than I actually ever play.

Looks great, I want!
How easy is the pi to setup like that?
Is the link from post #14 just a simple download and stick to sd and away you go?
Really want to get a pi going after seeing yours.

Buy a Pi3 ,power supply and Micro SD card.
Download free image of Retropie and "burn" that image to SD card.
You will need a game controller of some kind,PS3 and PS4 controllers can work by Bluetooth eventually after a bit of setting up.
You can use a cheap USB controller game controller as well if you don't have anything else.
It helps to have a USB keyboard to do some setting up/fettling with initially.
There is a ton of information online and it really isn't difficult at all.
