I always think back to the PS1 era when thinking about game reboots.
My two only options would be:
Dino Crisis: Just like the recent RE2 remake, a DC remake could take advantage of the RE Engine and a new camera perspective, as well as up to date controls.

In Cold Blood: This was a stealth game with a similar camera style to RE, and IMO was something of a hidden gem in the early 2000's, towards the end of the PS1 era.
