Simply Electronics Ltd. reviews | Customer reviews of Simply Electronics Ltd. | www.simplyelectronics.net - the companies seem to hold two websites.

I just have a visa debit, (I don't have a credit card, I'm new to all of this data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7, but bought online A LOT though paypal and didnt have to make an account with them before?) Is it still safe to use paypal without having an account?

If you didn't create an account when you ordered I doubt their system would associate a guest order with a newly registered account even if it did have the email address... From the experiences here I would say you'd hear something by the end of the week.

Having said that, every email I sent them was answered within 24 hours, so I am sure you're golden.

Fingers crossed for you!

Companies can use Paypal to process payments (what you have done before). Customers can use to Paypal to send payments (what I am suggesting). If you send payments through your Paypal account you have a very decent amount of consumer protection, even if you use a debit card: Buyer Protection - PayPal

You only get this protection if you use YOUR Paypal account... this protection doesn't cover items where you just checkout through a companies Paypal portal.

Basically... get a Paypal account now and use it whenever you can! data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

And, I have still not found a direct link between the two companies - so I wouldn't taint expedite with the same brush until someone proves otherwise?

Delighted to advise that the tab has turned up today. Got an email from Expedite this morning with Parcel Force tracking number, logged on and found it was out for delivery. Arrived at 14.30. Log showed it arrived in UK yesterday so I consider this a very good service from HK. The tab is as ordered, original sealed packing and on startup was Chinese with option to select English. All in all a very professional (and cheap) service. On this experience I'll use again and rate them as 5*.

Has anyone had an iPhone yet? It's next on my list, but obviously quite a bit more expensive than a Nexus tab if it doesn't work in the UK or gets blocked etc.

That Egham address is just round the corner from me. I might check it out on my way to the tip, later.

What are they, just the import handlers?

I ordered a Lumia 1020 from them after seeing this thread. It took exactly 7 days to arrive and was in perfect condition. Phone booted in english and accepted my (Three) sim card without issue. There was an icon for getting £20 MS Wallet credit if I registered the phone, and when I tried it it worked!

Nokia have a promotion just now for a free camera grip case for the 1020 if you buy a handset before June. Yesterday I entered the IMEI number on their offer page and today I got an email from Microsoft to tell me that my handset qualified and I would have the camera grip (worth £30-£40) in around one week.

I'm really happy I took a chance on this company. The 1020 was a replacement for one that I dropped and my insurance company had paid out £400 - my new one cost just £275.00 With the £20 credit and £30 case I'd say it has worked out rather well!!!!

I just ordered a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 from these guys today. I hoping all goes well as the only reason I ordered was due to the positive reviews on this forum. I will let you know how it gets on.
