Do different mods give different levels of flavour? And how noticeable can difference be?
I know the coil material can make a difference. Again, how much. If used on the same setup, just changing from Nickel to SS, would the difference be huge?

I don't think the mod would make that much difference as essentially they're just there to provide power to the coils. Yes, you can have higher wattage etc but personally I've always felt that the tank makes the most difference. Since purchasing 'after market' tanks, I just cannot go back to the Kanger one.

My Amor Plus (60W), Cleito (60W) or TFV8 (150W) tanks provide so much more flavour (and vapour) than the one that came in the Top Box Mini kit. Bear in mind though that the juice can make a difference too.

I caqn't seem to find this info, so will ask here. How low can I let the liquid get in the tank?
At the moment Im not letting it get more than roughly 1/3 full. Dont want to ruin the coil

I bought a Smok H-Priv and a TFV8 AKA the cloud beastdata:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7,thats about right. Base of tank gets hot, normal?

Saldawop Publish time 26-11-2019 20:45:15

Using my smok h-priv with the tfv8 I seem unable to get it though I'm not sucking up juice. I've tried puffng less vigorously. Using a higher power setting( between 120 and 140 watts- best range according to coil is 120-140)
It's ruining the vaping experience a bit. I thought maybe I was overfilling the tank, but nothing seems to cure it. Any advice?

@Saldawop congrats on getting into vaping, a good move. Glad you bought a decent charger and batteries, the Samsung 25Rs are really good. From what I've read you've bought a good mod too. As you're finding out, there's a fair bit to learn and a fair bit of trial and error involved. Trust me though, once you get your setup how you like it you'll love it.

I don't have any experience with the tank you're using. My advice would be to join Planetofthevapes. It's a great UK site with loads of brilliant info, articles, all sorts of stuff and friendly people. Go there and join and start asking questions/searching the forums. You'll soon find all the answers you need.

That's not to diss what anyone is saying here at all, by the way! It's just that you'll find LOADS of info and advice on that forum mate. Have a read up about Temp Control on there.

Can anybody explain this.

When I go to the local vape shop, and I sample the flavours they have set up in tanks, that I fit to my mod I can taste every flavour as it should taste or as I assume it should taste.

I spend £14-£17 on it, bring it home, put it in my tank and it tastes like sugar. I have three donut flavour juices and every one tastes exactly the same.
I bought one yesterday , donuts by dohnut juices. Ok it didn't really taste donutty, but got the strawberry and milk really strongly in the shop. Sugar water at home. Cannot understand what is going on.

Edit: The strange thing is (IMO), I have a melon liquid and a blueberry, and whilst neither of them are particularly flavourful I can taste it no problem

On you previous post how do u mean not "sucking up the juice"? And are you still using the tfv8? It's sbout as far from a beginner tank as you can get but need at least 90w with the 0.15ohm wide open airflow.
Hard to know what's going on without being there it should be fine. Next time you go along to your local vape shop take ur gear along.

I don't know if it is sucking up juice as such, or condensation? On reading about it, it says if you are getting spit back its like little hot bits of liquid. Im not getting that, but its like I can taste a bit of liquid in my mouth, tastes like I have sweetener in my mouth. And on inhale it doesnt sound dry if that makes sense.
Am sure I did not flood it,but am regualrly cleaning down the centre hole and getting juice on the ear bud.Have tried blowing through the drip tip and covering the airholes with paper towel, 99% of the time nothing comes out.
Using the TFV8 at 120Watts,wide open airflow.
Have a Uwell Crown using the 0.2 ohm @85watts, same thing
Both on a Smok H-Priv

Kanger topbox mini kit 0.5 @ 35Watts

All suffer the same problem to a lesser or greater degree.
Maybe it is my technique, though I don't suffer it at all when in the shop using their tanks.
Should I be taking a gentle puff? Read that if you hear gurgling take a faster draw?

Saldawop Publish time 26-11-2019 20:45:20

Looks like I may be suffering capers tongue, although how I can taste them in the shop I have no idea.
Passed my mod to my partner, took a puff and said it was like eating a Krispy Kreme donut. To me it tastes of nothing at all.
