Yup -we gave up after a couple of hours. A couple of months later we tried Tesco, who had a basic version of what you see now up and running.
Sainsburys have of course caught up (we seem to alternate between Tescos and Sainsburys - no problems with either)

Fantastic - pricey, though not compared to buying a new car! Must check out that thread, having three rear seats is the bane of our lives. Thanks for that.

We tend to use Tesco's mainly with a bit of Waitrose when they have good deals. We also use Asda as they are the only place which does a lager that I like. No complaints about any of them.

We gave up on online shopping some time ago.
Our daughter needed specific soya milk, we'd ask for that specific brand.
Loads of times, another brand would come.
Then there was the issue with use-by dates that others have mentioned.
DIY is best.

Indeed but it can't show stuff on reduced for quick sale or bring to my attention something I wasn't considering to eat. Case in point, I'm doing a fish curry this evening. I only bought the fish on impulse wandering past the Morrison's fish counter. I don't believe that any online website is geared in the same way to allow me the scope to sit down with no idea what I want and then idly wander about (virtually) to find x days of food for a given price.
I'm not knocking online shopping- it is a quirk of my shopping that it doesn't work hugely well for me.

For us it's not just the cost vs. getting a new car but also it unlocks nearly every car as an option, not just a select dozen or so.Anyway - back to delievered food data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

We need special milk sometimes - get that from the milkman where you always get exactly what you order data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

haven't used Tesco for a while but I thought there was some form of 'browse the asile/section' option.
For us though, trading £5 for an hour and a half of your life is worth missing the odd offer data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

It might but again, it isn't exactly how I go about things- lets just say my path through a supermarket is rarely linear! I don't have kids and as my wife eats completely different food, I have essentially become a bit [-]weird[/-] indulgent over the years.

We've done online shopping a few times but after the first time we've never ordered fresh fruit/veg through it. Produce isn't often too good and goes out of date soon after being delivered. Otherwise though, no problems. data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7
