Deadlifts

Tried to do deadlifts but can't seem to get form right.

Not easy when starting to do them yourself in a home gym.

Seen a hexagon shaped bar online, some call it a trap, squat or deadlift bar.Are these things any good.

Don't want to blow £100 if there not that good

Trap bars are a different type of lift, before spending out on kit though you'd be much better off having a few technical sessions with a PT or S&C coach.

I'll add it here too in case there is someone, somewhere in the world who I've not told yet..
Deadlift 130kg (286.6lb) fit a personal best today for 1RM

Try light weight first and check. the form is correct or not.

I wouldn't recommend the elitefts videos (above), they are somewhat not newb friendly and tend to be overwhelming (he's teaching someone already really strong how to deadlift).

This would be better:
You can go for a trap bar but as mentioned you won't get the benefits of a "real" deadlift.
