Pinched nerve?
I know this isn't the place for medical diagnosis but I'm just looking for opinions rather than bugging my GP about it, and mainly because it takes weeks to get an appointment.I was mucking around on my knees in the garden last week and I felt a sudden burn in my right thigh, just a strain I thought. But ever since then I have a strange sensation from my hip all the way down my right leg, skin is super sensitive and hurts when pinched or brushed with jeans etc
Do you reckon it could be a pinched nerve and will sort itself out soon enough? With these kinds of things I find GPs are often not very helpful anyway. Personally I would go and see a local sports physio or similar. Usually a session will be around the £30 mark and they should be able to help with what is going on. Just been to see my GP. As expected it wasn't much help, suspected pinched nerve, was told to just see how it goes and if no progress to go back. Definitely se a sports physio. i believe that a pinched muscle would be felt in only one spot. I have a pinched nerve in my lower back, and i feel it all the way down to my left ankle and down to my right knee. if the pain seems to be traveling down to other parts or the body i would say the nerve is pinched. ibprofen is an anti-inflamatory that reduces the inflammation in the area of the pinched nerve, but it will only do so much. i have to take around 800mg of ibprofen to even feel like it's any better, when it's acting up. good luck, i hope i was of some help. You mean sciatica?
If it is a trapped nerve, you'll feel a tingle in your toes. not necessarily. My father suffers with sciatica and has no feeling at all in the toe's in his right foot.
My sciatica gets me in the right bum cheek and affects the peroneal nerve and longus peroneal muscle around my right knee.
The sciatic nerve originates in the top of the spine, travels the length of the spine to the hips where it splits and goes into each hip then down the back of each leg where other nerves branch off it en route and it ends in the rear of the heel of the foot. I've had no issues for the past couple of weeks. I just used plenty of ice and Deep Freeze. I could probably do with strengthening my legs in general so will throw in a few more low impact exercises into my workouts.
