You can exercise whenever you feel like to, Personally i prefer to exercise in the morning before anything else. data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

I go for a swim everyday at 8.30pm after I have dismissed from work. *Hoping that swimming can help me in weight loss. LOL*

My personal trainer encouraged me to exercise before breakfast.

It's different strokes for different folks. Try different times and see what's best for you.
I normally train in the morning after breakfast and it makes me feel great for the day.
Few days ago I trained in the evening after work. Found it a lot harder and it wrecked me for days. Maybe more beneficial but it was so mentally challenging that I didn't really enjoy it and I'll not be aiming to do it again.

agreed and if you do breakfast first, you will feel tired while doing exercise

Before breakfast will kick your body into additional fat buring as it goes into starvation mode, that is is uses your fat store 1st as it thinks you aren't getting any fuel in.

I also prefer morning training, it sets you up for the day and gets it over and done with, a win win if you ask me ;-)

I don't agree with training before breakfast.
Dinner around 5pm and not eating for about 16 hours then training doesn't sound like a good idea to me.

Why? Does your PT want you to lose muscle? Or pass out? No PT should be recommending this.
