Ours were getting a bit porky so they are on Hills Science Diet Perfect Weight dry food plus a treat of half a pouch of Whiskas with gravy once per day (share one pouch). Seem to be happy with that for a year now and the weight thing seems to work data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

They have whiskas dry and pouches in jelly. Won't get the gravy as they lick it off and leave the rest.
They love a sainsburys basic white fish, which we keep in the freezer and microwave when they get fur balls. They love it! Probably not much difference in price quite honestly.

Ours needs this one, as he has had problems in the past with crystals in his urinary tract - very expensive, but cheaper than vets bills overall

The irony of a dry cat food to help prevent urinary crystals, when dry cat food is a major cause of them in the first place data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7
My cat is currently loving Bozita Chicken and Turkey, and Cosma Thai, both from Zooplus, and Sainsburys/Tescos Finest chicken/tuna pouches. She turns her nose up at any of the cheap stuff data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7
She also has a tiny bit of dry at night as a treat, currently using Purizon and Concept for Life - both were £3 for 800g (BOGOF) from Zooplus.

We buy grain free wet food (dont buy dry food) in the 800g tins as they are better value. Animonda and Catz Finefoods are on offer at Zooplus but we mostly buy MACS from Happy Kitty Co and they deliver within two days which is a bonus.

Currently cycling through Gourmet and Sheba... tend to stick to one for a few weeks.. then change their mind. So we stock pile the old stuff and give it to them a few months later.
Haven't heard of Zooplus before, prices look good (currently paying about £4.50/kg from supermarket). Any recommendations for wet food?

Saw this on my Facebook feed about cats and cat food. Linked article contains swearing.

Animoda carny, Bozita, Smilla are all good quality wet foods, with high meat content (not the 4% in supermarket brands data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7 ) and are grain free. The high meat content means they do not have to eat as much, and grain free makes their litter trays smell less (a good thing if they are indoor cats) as cats cannot digest the grain used in cheaper foods to bulk the product out.
