First road bike.
I have a hybrid bike that's ok for family jaunts along the cycle track but I'm looking to get more into road cycling and I'm looking for my first road bike.I'm 5'7 in height so would imagine I'm looking at a 52cm frame. Inside leg is 30".
Budget about £600. Terrain is very hilly round my way so there will be plenty of inclines and down hill routes.
Any recommendations on a good first bike.
Cheers
Garry There is a large Cycling Thread in General chat - that's a good place to ask.
Otherwise there can be some very decent 2nd hand bikes for that price.

Last years models etc usually carry a good discount No probs. I'll have a look at that thread. For 600 you could get a giant contend, there contend series is meant to be very good for regular users. I have one myself and it’s held up really well for commutes etc Got myself a trek domane in the end from local bike shop. He has a display frame and built me a whole new bike with full tiagra groupset.
£550 cycle to work discount.
Put over a thousand miles on it since I posted last year. The Madone looks good. Are you satisfied with it?
I have bought Canyon Endurance AL 6.0for around $1200 and it was the best value/money deal I found back in 2017. Full Shimano 105 groupset. Weight around 8,5 kg.
