Heating Cost Winter Period

Just totted up and total cost from 1/10/11 to 1/4/12 is £858 combined for gas/electric ,

4 Bed semi , gas central heating/cooking , retired so in most days , wood burner used in living room almost daily from Nov , central heating switched off 2 weeks ago.
Dearest month was Feb at £180 combined , cheapest was March £105 , average over 6 months is £143 .
Should be less for the next 6 months , am £400 in credit on account as BG taking £150 pm on fixed till March 13.

Anyone done their figures ?

I've paid £360 for gas and elec from oct to end of march we're in a 3 bed semi and are at home most days as we have two small kids, heating is still on here at times as it's a cold april.

I'm with edf on a fixed rate tariff till Sept can't remember which one it is though.

Having a look at Dibdab's tariff won't do any harm.
But there's loads more variables to take account of than tariff alone.
He might have a more efficient boiler, his house might be better insulated.

Thats what I was thinking .

Fixed v2 I would think.

I'm on that tariff, 4-bed detached Gas C/H, HW & hob, electric everything else. Paying circa £85 pcm for annual usage of Elec: 5000 kWh, Gas: 13100 kWh.

Tumble dryer had a bit of time off during March, but has been going full pelt during the drought.

Have a stupid NIBE 360p boiler in our 4 bedroom house.

Currently averaging 80kwh per day! This system is supposed to be energy efficient data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7
