Solar PV storage
Hi all, I have seen an advert for Midnight Sun battery storage and heard its quite expensive. I just wondered if anybody had set up a battery storage system on there PV or even wind turbine systems? How much and is it worth it? Really expensive. Wait there is a big push on electric vehicles we are installing nationally this battery technology will be used in pv through a home management system but looking two years away at least. Was at solar pv production plant in germany last month and saw our partners battery solution good but too expensive at moment looking same cost as pv install again. Ok mate thanks for the info. Once the electric prices hit a certain level then by that time there should a more cost effective solution.We have back up batteries at work and they literally fill large rooms up.
At home you would probably need something that would store a weeks worth of power as in winter you would struggle to charge it every day.
