A piece of kit called WhisperGEN has been installed by Powergen foryear or so now . Not seen any conclusive info about it though . I wonder if General Skanky may know anymore about it . It generates leccy whilst heating your water/home .

Found this company who make electric boilers, they advertise in the PHPI (professional heating & plumbing installer)
http://www.electric-heatingcompany.co.uk/
I would have thought they would be expensive to run though?
I heard someone saying that it would be cheaper to produce your own electricity using a generator! although I would have thought these would be too noisy and dirty for most people, I suppose if a diesel generator could run on some kind of bio-fuel (or chip oil) then it might be cheaper/ greener? but still noisy!

Latest PHPI magazine came out a few days ago and reminded me of another company who make Air/Ground source heat pumps.
These heating systems only need an electricity supply, so in answer to the OP,
NO, IT DOESN'T HAVE TO BE GAS !!!
for more info go here:

They have an easy to follow .pdf document explaining how their systems work which is really usefuldata:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

I have created a new type of heating without using gas. It's an eco friendly design with easy to use controls. New radiator design with no copper pipes or valves data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7) I have just sent off for patenting and waiting my next step process. All I need now is to know how many people I can get to convert from wet heating systems to my new system.
