Removing solar panels

In the process of buying a bunaglow that has had solar panels installed this year. Ideally when we move in we would like them removed. The solar panels have ben fully paid off and not rented. Would it be best to contact the sloar panel that installed them for get them to remove them and hopefully pay me a bit of money to take the solar panels to use in another installation

Why would you want them removed? Surely you will be getting the Feed in Tariff and free electricity from them as well. Since you have not paid for them I do not see why you would not want them. I suspect it will cost you to get them removed since it will mean a fair bit of work. I doubt there is much demand for second hand panels either.

As an idea I think the scaffold cost for my installation was around £600 (maybe a little less for a bungalow) and I think installation costs were around £800. Hence I would expect to be paying around £1200 or so for their removal and maybe more if you actually have to pay to have the panels disposed off (panels degrade over time so although they will not have degraded much over the last year I suspect most people would want new panels installed and not secondhand ones). Or you could keep them and make £500-600 per year for no effort and also get a certain amount of free electricity so saving you even more. Seems a no brainer to me.
