Alan, I've had a visit from another company as a result. The quote is 3.6kw 10 Solar Panels @ £5,400. Only 10 because of the shape of the roof. They told me they could fit this weekend. What do you think?

It's unusual to get 360 watt panels do you know the make and model number?
Just googled and found some, that price is more sensible and they have given you a sensible option to fit your roof sounds like a lot more professional company.

Beca
be careful your not signing up to place the order data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7.

like anything you buy you can get the item at different prices, what constitutes good value or a complete rip off is not always a clear line drawn in the sand.

You could buy expensive shoes but not be happy at the fit, of get cheopo and be more than comfortable, you wuse to delay until your sure.

14 panelsystem is average £5.5k - £6.5k, so i guess your nearer the higher price than the lower price, but not extortionate. Dependshow you feel about the installer, will they be trading next year abd so on?

Alan it doesn't matter how many panels it is it's the output that counts, panels come in different sizes of output. In @emyace case the 10 panels will output slightly more than a 14 panel system with 250w panels. So the price is good.

As for the shoe analogy I don't think it is a good one in this case. My planet are using pressure sales techniques to sell an inferior product(output wise) at an inflated price relying on the average persons ignorance of the feed in tarrif and the technology to blind them with the returns they could potentially get.

Good am Steve, thank you for your input. I looked at the quotation and as a result found out that the figures don't make sense. I contacted the company which apologised for the error. It should be for 11 Panels @ 325 watts = 3.575 @ £1500 = £5362.50.
What do you think of these figures?

Steve, I'm told that the panels are E Solar panels 325 watts. emyace
