Yep, that is the great progressive lie; that all the low paid immigrants aresomehow making a net contribution after taking into account the cost of their in work benefits, healthcare, education, housing etc.
That one example shows how things have changed. From the 1980's automated car wash whichreplaced expensive manual labour, to 2017, where it is cheaper to employ eight people to hand wash, dry and polish.
Unlike the car wash machine, the manual workers require a full suite of state services.
